?They call me mom? asked:

It seems like every female coming to yahoo answers gets bashed for mentioning they were/ are a teen mom or a single mom. I think a lot of this bashing comes because of other people on this site. I’m talking about the ones asking how to get welfare because they are single. I know I get very annoyed when I see questions asking how someone can get assistance because they are pregnant or single. What ever happened to taking care of ones own responsibilities? I know I did that and I personally think it’s something to be proud of. I didn’t stay with mom and dad when I found out I was pregnant. I didn’t collect food stamps and have all my bills paid because I didn’t use my child as an excuse. Anyone agree?
The ones that deend on tax payers make other teen moms and single moms look bad.
I’m actually getting involved with the Right to Life jen.
no, I personally think that if you PURPOSELY get pregnant, you don’t get help. You can’t someone who doesn’t help theirself.

My husband has two children by a previous marriage. Well it was their agreement that their children were going to live with the paternal grandmother, who lives in the same trailer park as the mother. Well my husband moved back to Maryland and we met and we have been together for four years. We send money to the grandmother for the kids and go up and see them. Well now that the mother and her husband are about to be laid off she is seeking custody, I guess for child-support. She lied on the court documents saying that they have lived with her for five years, she even collected food stamps for the kids. I believe the paternal grandmother is going to lie just to keep the kids in P.A. Please Help! Will the court system see right through this, will a judge give kids to a parent that is laid off.
