These people are able to work, and do jobs for cash. They collect a welfare check, food stamps, etc. Some have even bilked local churches out of charity money and food. One couple got divorced so they could get benefits. Of course they are still living in the same house. I don’t understand why these liars and thieves are not prosecuted. Maybe because they are indigent, and it will cost the state more money. I just think that it is wrong that the rest of us working people have to put up with this. Knowing that a portion of our paychecks go to these thieves. Maybe I am just wasting my breath ranting about it. What can be done. I have mentioned it to the police and they act like I am just starting trouble.

My SS’s mom works part time for UPS, yet is allowed to collect food stamps and state assistance. The father of her baby is in jail is this why she is still able to collect state assistance? She lives in Washington State.
It’s just her and the child (1 yr old)
How long can she collect?

but they can’t afford food so they collect food stamps. And “SOME” who can’t afford rent so they live in public housing, yet they drive brand new vehicles. And what about those who say they can’t afford their electric and water, but they can afford their “Top 180″ sattelite TV bill.
And just so everybody knows, I used to get assistance myself. I just didnt go out buying all the fancy luxeries when I couldnt afford the necessities. I didnt abuse the system.
And again, I specify “SOME” because I know there are lots of people who really, genuinly need the assistance as did I one time, but don’t you think the government should try to do more to stop the fraud. These are our tax dollars being spent to support those who abuse the system.
